Roberta Close: The Most Gorgeous Post-Op Transgender Woman Ever

Roberta Close was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in December 1964 (although strangely her autobiography claims 1965). She was christened Luíz Roberto Gambine Moreira but in daily life uses Luiza Bambine Moreira, a name she legally adopted in Switzerland. Roberta Close is actually her stage name which she later adopted, "Close" apparently coming from the first magazine she modelled for. Since changing her name she's been fighting a highly publicised  battle in Brazilian courts against a ban on her using the name Luiza and the gender "Female" on official Brazilian document which she has only recently won. Dorchen Richter

Dorchen Richter (1891–1933) was the first known person to undergo complete male-to-female gender reassignment surgery.  She was one of a number of transgender people in the care of sex-research pioneer Magnus Hirschfeld at Berlin's Institute for Sexual Research during the 1920s and early 1930s. She underwent surgical removal of the testicles in 1922, followed in 1931 by removal of the penis and vaginoplasty. She is presumed to have died in a Nazi attack on the Institute.   Richter was born to a poor farming family in 1891, named Rudolph, and raised as male. Early in childhood, Richter displayed a "tendency to act and carry on in a feminine way". At the age of 6 years, she apparently tried to remove her penis with a tourniquet. Using the name Dora, she began wearing women's clothing and presenting as female, working under her birth name as a waiter in Berlin hotels during the busy summer season, then living as female the remainder of the year. She was arrested from ...

His mother left his father soon after his birth because he refused to feed them. At fifteen months Henry was put in an orphanage. When his mother remarried, she took him out of the orphanage, but he did not get on with his stepfather, and stayed with aunts and uncles. At age eleven, after a mutual undressing with a girl downstairs, the juvenile authorities put him in a boys home. Each time he ran away they put him in the home’s jail, where he was raped. After three years he was released to live with an aunt, where he was raped by her husband. Later, living with another aunt, he tried on his female cousin’s clothes. At fourteen he started shining shoes, first in Hoboken, and then on 42 nd  St in Manhattan. He became friends with Shelley, a male prostitute. He made good tips from gay men but refused their sexual offers. At fifteen he ran away...
